My husband and I built a studio we will share. He installed other brands on his half and I used Northlux on mine- this was so we could make a comparison. As it happens, the Waveform lights were so far superior to the ones he bought that I cannot imagine us using anything but the Northlux 95 tubes. I once vowed I would never use LEDs in a studio, but they have come a long way. Yours are outstanding.

Very high quality and long lasting lights

Nice lights. Passed the test of an artist who works in colors. Using 6500K in a room with north facing windows. Matches very well. Keep in mind that the length listed is more of a trade size than actual size. (4' is 43.3" long per the datasheet)

I am a professional artist and I have worked in several studios over the years and never had lighting that was as close to daylight as these. My colors are true which makes my job so much easier on the eyes!

I bought this to brighten up my bearded dragon cage and to simulate natural light. It really did the job!!! I love it. This does not replace the necessary UVB.

We really like these lights. Very high CRI, excellent R9. We are planning to replace all of our old fluorescent tubes with Northlux tubes in our New York City photography gallery. Photographs and other artwork really require high CRI illumination for proper viewing – regular LEDs for general illumination won't do.

I ordered this to light my work bench for glass work. I needed good light with excellent color rendering. It fits the bill. Both product quality and customer service is excellent.

Upgrading from fluorescent lighting made such a difference. I ripped out the old failing fluorescent ballasts from the ceiling fixture and rewired for LED (not required, but made me feel better). Now, the light is brighter, the colors in my paintings read truer, and I'm much happier. I plan on buying a Northlux shop light to hang over my drawing desks.

I run a large community studio and I generally have great natural light during the day, so I was a bit lazy about looking for lights to replace the standard fluorescent tubes. Being in the NW, we do suffer early sunsets in the winter, and then just some generally low light days throughout the year. I think I found Waveform on Google and was intrigued by there line of tubes specifically for artists. I had several T8 fixtures and got a mix of the 6500K and 5000K. They make a HUGE difference!! They were easy to pop in, and give the room a beautiful amount of light, not too warm, not too cool. I wish I had put them in right away.

The color rendering of the Northlux 5,000 K tube lights in my painting studio is quite true and well balanced. That said, I am still curious about the 6,500 K Northlux tubes lights, and am thinking to order a set to try either alone or in combination with my 5,000K lights.
